Leaning to practice gratitude is the single most life changing thing I have ever done. However, it isn’t always easy! AND, I can truthfully say, I still have several moments (especially lately) where I catch myself complaining, feeling sorry for myself and acting….. downright irritated.
But….. during my quest to remain grateful, even in the midst of The Coronavirus, I am now more convinced than ever that our thoughts are the KEY to our joy! Thoughts are the seeds we plant daily in our minds, our families, our homes and our lives. You are the farmer of your MIND….. What are you Planting?
Learning to plant seeds of gratitude into your life is like planting happiness within the soil of your BRAIN. Begin with a baby step. Take the first few minutes after you wake up each morning and just think of a few things you’re grateful for. Then take a few minutes during your day to “PAUSE”….. look around and notice something you’d be devastated if it were gone. How many of us wold like to go back and be thankful for the opportunity to leave our homes without fear? I don’t know about you….. but I hadn’t thought to be grateful for that until now.
Today, focus on the seeds you’re planting! Create the right growing conditions in your mind so you can let gratitude begin to bloom. AND just like a real garden….. “You will reap that which you sow.”
